It was the end of the 1970s when Daniele Fossà came across a mechanical load limiter from Northern Europe, one of the first rudimentary devices for controlling overloads on lifting systems, Following a detailed examination, Fossà found the limiter to be rather crude and, from certain perspectives, downright unreliable.
He therefore decided he would create an object that served the same purpose but that would be highly efficient and provide maximum safety.
the Danfos load limiter was launched, for which the first patent was registered in 1980.
