LCM2 LOAD LIMITER

Electromechanical load limiter for systems with mobile wire ropes

Limitatore di carico elettromeccanico per sistemi a fune mobile

LCM2

Calibration: Kg. 250-2500

Ø Wire rope: Mm. 10-13

Weight: Kg. 13

All load limiters have the DSS Danfos Safety System which, thanks to a special electromechanical mechanism, permanently controls the limiter to ensure the safety of the lifting system.

ELECTROMECHANICAL LOAD LIMITER:
The DANFOS load limiter is electromechanical and is made in conformity with the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. It is fitted to wire rope lifting systems as a safety component. Its purpose is to prevent handling loads that exceed the nominal capacity of the equipment.

OPERATION:
During operation, when the tension on the wire rope of the lifting equipment reaches the value to which the load limiter is calibrated, an electrical signal is triggered. ach model can be provided with the possibility of setting up to 4 trigger thresholds: the 1st giving a light or sound signal, the 2nd interrupting all movement, except for lowering the load.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLATION/MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANS
During installation follow the directions of the safety procedure drawn up by the Health and Safety Officer and, in particular, only use approved ladders, scaffolding or platforms and Personal Protective Equipment prescribed by the applicable laws and regulations.

RESIDUAL RISKS – Despite the technical solutions adopted in the design and construction of the product, certain risks still remain for those in charge of installation and maintenance, mainly due to the presence of electrical power and above all by the conditions under which the operator works:

Risk of falling from a height during installation and maintenance due to not having the right equipment and not wearing the prescribed Personal Protective Equipment.

Risk of electric shock when making electrical connections on the machine without having previously isolated the power supply.

OPERATING CONDITIONS DANFOS
load limiters are designed for both indoor and outdoor use as the protection class of the contacts is IP65.

NON INTENDED USE
Under no circumstances install standard DANFOS limiters in places classified as being at risk of explosion (ATEX).

For practical reasons and to make commissioning the lifting system easier, the load limiter is calibrated in our laboratory according to the system technical data provided by the customer and subsequently stated on the CE certificate.
Due to the dynamic aspects that govern how a lifting system works, final adjustment with a real load is recommended at the time of installation. To do this follow the instructions given in the use and maintenance manual.

DANFOS guarantees its limiters for a period of 12 months from the date of delivery, covering the repair or replacement of all parts which, following careful examination, are acknowledged to be defective.
The Warranty does not cover parts subject to normal wear Any tampering with the limiter or repairs performed outside our laboratory will invalidate the Warranty.

There are no spare parts.

DANFOS limiters require no routine maintenance but it is good practice to check that they are working correctly whenever periodic checks are carried out on the lifting system.

DANFOS limiters must be stored in an enclosed, dry area at temperatures between -25° and +80°C.
